Fantastical scenes are developed to explore contemporary society’s notions of beauty, stereotype and identity in the digital world. Works explore distortion and 'loss' of both form; and in turn conceptual identity, through pixilation and painterly interventions. However, the work remains ambiguous in its nature, enticing the viewer to question their own perception of reality.


The modern world is a sprawling mass construction of images, continuously copied and recycled; left open to a variety of appropriations and re-contextualisation's. The works created form a true visual reflection of this notion. The ability to extract from the endless source of mass media imagery available is crucial to the production and creation of key moments, which hold central the initial 'collage aesthetic' from which they are formed.
